Dublin. Phone: 89 36 31 Dear Paddy, As you are aware, the Club Council have put a lot of work into the formation of the Golf Club over the past year. . In order that the Club might achieve the standing equal to any other Golf Club, the Council recognises that the purchase of the Course is their priority. Failing that, a satisfactory lease is an acceptable alternative. The Draft Agreement submitted to you, which is based on the points agreed between you. and the trustees recently, is the absolute minimum which will permit the Club to retain any status and make any progress. Without this agreement the Club will inevitably die. The present Council have no wish to be associated with a failure of this· nature, and therefore have unanimously decided to have nothing further to do with the Club if this Agreement is not signed. In this event the Council will be obliged to convey their decision to the members at the forthcoming Annual Genera 1 '"Meeting on Tuesday 30th May 1978. We sincerely hope that this course of action will not he necessary and that this matter can be resolved with the goodwill that has been prevalent between us from the outset of the Club formation.
